"Color: the property possessed by an object of producing different sensations on the eye, as a result of the way the object reflects or emits light. This is what you will see in our work, bold, bright, vibrant images in color. Paul Goodnight and Larry Pierce as established artists have used their bold images of color to dazzle the senses. Ayana Mack, Ibrahim Al- Salim, and James Perry as emerging artists also use color to grab the viewer's attention. We are at our core image makers, and we use a variety of colors to represent, who we are, where we’ve been and where we are going, serving as a vessel of expression that depict our social, political, and economic realities as artists of color.   As Black artists we understand the importance of uplifting, supporting, and making space for one another. We are pleased to share our creations with you and invite you to live with us in Color." - James Perry
