Eydith Comenencia Ortiz, Ph.D. is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of CONECTA Partners, a global consulting firm that combines innovative patient insights generation approaches with tailored community-centered initiatives to optimize the development and delivery of healthcare solutions.

Dr. Comenencia Ortiz is a biopharmaceutical executive with 10 years of experience in Alliance Development and Government Affairs. Throughout her career, she has led strategic alliances with patient communities across 15+ disease areas—leveraging her scientific background to employ data-driven approaches for systematic incorporation of the patient voice to shape more than 40 clinical development programs.

Most recently, Dr. Comenencia Ortiz served as the Global Hematology Patient Partnership Group Director at Roche, where she led global patient community engagement efforts for the Roche Hematology pipeline and marketed product portfolio.

Dr. Comenencia Ortiz is passionate about health equity and community-based interventions to meet the needs of underserved populations. She has led multi-stakeholder alliances and initiatives aimed at addressing health disparities and cross-cultural barriers to care. In her free time, she serves as a mentor and volunteer for the Biomedical Sciences Careers Program and other initiatives aimed at increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in science and medicine.

Dr. Comenencia Ortiz holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Tufts University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Cayey Campus.
