Welcome back to Tufts in Translation where we will spotlight faculty advancing new therapeutic approaches, targets, platforms, and delivery systems. Sessions will feature early-stage research across the drug discovery and design landscape, with an emphasis on translational potential and industry relevance.

FACULTY SPEAKER

Yu-Shan Lin, Ph.D.
Tufts University
Chair of Chemistry

Yu-Shan Lin is a computational peptide chemist and currently Professor and Chair of Chemistry at Tufts University. She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 2009, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford from 2009 to 2012. In 2012, she established her research group at Tufts University, where she received tenure in 2018. Her research focuses on using molecular dynamics simulation and machine learning to understand and design the structures and properties of peptides, particularly cyclic and other restrained peptides. Dr. Lin is the recipient of the 2020 Machine Learning in the Chemical Sciences & Engineering Award from the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation and the 2023 Rising Innovator Award from Tufts University.
