From Juneteenth On:

Leaving the Rolling universe Behind

Thursday, June 20 | LabCentral Lobby

4 PM - 8 PM

A vibrant celebration of culture and heritage will echo the spirit of
freedom and honor the ancestors who paved the way. Interactive, and immersive this event aims to create a space where the community can come together to commemorate Juneteenth and pay tribute to those who had endured struggles for freedom and equality.

Through a series of live performances featuring music, dance, spoken word and visual arts, this festival aims to honor and celebrate the contributions of Phillis Wheatley, Harriet Tubman, Josephine Baker, Martin Luther King Jr, and Coretta Scott King, all of whom have strong connections and leave a legacy here in historic Boston, MA.

Attendees can expect a day filled with culture, community, food, and celebration. The festival will provide opportunities to pay homage, share stories, spread joy, and strengthen the community. It promises to be an engaging and enriching experience for all.

In the word of Phillis Wheatley, let’s take this moment “to leave the rolling
universe behind”.
